Overtime and Easy Hour FAQ

On my day off I got overtime, and then I stayed for an Easy Hour after the over time period. Do I get paid the whole hour? Or do I only get paid for 15 minutes? My time card says 15 mins but I thought it was supposed to be a whole hour. I’m also full time. Thanks
There is no Easy Hour when working overtime. – Carlos Ayala

If I'm asked to stay for the Easy Hour what happens once that hour is up? I was told that I would then be paid in 15 minute increments. Is that true or false? And can I walk after the original easy hour or is it mandatory I stay?
You are not required to stay past the hour unless you are placed on mandatory. Now, if you want to stay past the easy hour and they do keep you, you should ask how long they are willing to keep you for and fill out card accordingly. If for some reason you finish your task before the accorded overtime, then you can punch out and be paid up to the exact minute of swiping out. – Carlos Ayala
If you are part time you will NOT be paid for an hour unless you stay at least 46 minutes. Part time is paid in 15 minute increments up to one hour. - Patrice Courville Brooks

I’m full time. What happens when the task goes past the hour of Easy Hour? For example, I get off at 10:15. I sign a card for the Easy Hour that would make me good till 11:15 or before. How is it paid when some stuff happens and at 11:30 you're still on the gate working the flight? Second easy hour since first hour was the hard hour?
You should communicate to your direct supervisor at the end of your shift continuation if the task is not completed. At that point, if you want to stay, ask how long they'll keep you. We should not be staying past the easy hour if we don't want to. – Carlos Ayala

If I'm correct...please correct me if I'm wrong....contractually, Easy Hour doesn't exist....shift continuation is what the contract outlines.
That is correct. Easy hour was never in the subUa contract, it was more of a local agreement than anything. The new easy hour which is called Shift Continuation is in the new contract. – Carlos Ayala

Do they still allow 3 tardies (under 15 mins) before they take the .5 point?
Yes – Arturo Romero

What does the Day Off 1-4 on the overtime signup mean? When should it be checked?
If you’re willing to work 1-4 hours on off day – Ryan Taylor

If I trade off on a paid holiday do I lose all pay or just the hours I would have worked?
You will only be paid for holiday pay unless you deferred that holiday. -Carlos Ayala
